Besides picturesque countryside and many places of cultural and architectural interest, Franconia is the home of many of Germany’s most famous vineyards.</P> <P>The wine Franconia is like the Franconians themselves – young, somewhat reserved, sometimes unconventional, yet always endearing and charming; committed to upholding local traditions, yet open-minded towards international trends. Discover the pleasures of FRANCONIA – this fresh, fruity wine is an ideal accompaniment to any meal and can be highly-recommended.</P> <P>The packaging underlines the full-bodied and round style of this wine. We decided to use this well-known Burgundy bottle shape to express the bridge Franconia builds between international, big, almost fat Chardonnays and acidity driven, light German Rieslings.<BR>The usage of the new glass closure reflects our commitment to new innovations which will help to preserve the quality that has been produced in the vineyards, carefully fermented and treated in the cellar, wisely blended and finally bottled.<BR>The wine is produced in cooperation with Martin Steinmann, owner and winemaker at the Schloss Sommerhausen Estate; Martin Steinmann is well-known for his excellent wine- making skills.
